  i've been receiving messages from brother and sisters asking why i'm deleting my account.

  i really did not write my reasons for deleting my account because i don't want anyone to feel obligated to do the same.

  fact of the matter is that, i still feel that myspace may very well be a conscious matter.

  Can DaVinci Code make Witnesses think?

  i've just finished reading the book...and i know most of it is fiction, but some of you might have read it too.

  as an ex-jw, it really made me think...the author has an excellent way to make one think outside the box without making it look like he wants to ram his ideas into your head...you know, it's kind of subtle, amongst all the action and enigmas.

  my father loves to read...i really want him to read that book.

  does your conscience kick in because the organization's ideas are still within you??

  Not in the least, not in my life anyway. The only way it influences me is what I will and won't say to my family which is 98.9% still in. Obviously I'll refrain from discussing all my holiday plans and the like with them.

  One last act of separation

  well, i was cleaning out the last of the boxes from our move to texas and i came across my old new world translation.. i stopped and looked at it for a while, leafed through the pages to see the notes, hastily scribbled during some talk or another, little pieces of my life and world... some of the comments triggering memories of conventions, or relatives, mainly though, triggering feelings of... nothingness.. nothingness... that is what my time as a witness has boiled down to.

  years of my life offered gladly to an organization that i believed would show me, and those whom i loved, the way to a better life where there would be no, "sickness, death or suffering" all meant nothing.. it used to make me mad or sad thinking about these things, but now there is just nothing.. not even when i think about my dad.

  i used to get so upset at having lost him; i'd cry and hope that he'd see the light and leave the organization.

  It seems like it goes through cycles, every couple of months there is this huge flood of newbies. I like to think of it as the WBTS hemmoraging, yeah, I like that image a lot, the WBTS bleeding to death because they won't accept any real truth.

  Why did Jehovah give the job of writing the BIBLE to the Catholics?

  this is a thread which was inspired by our own hot little mary.. jehovahs witnesses claim that since pentecost of 33 c.e., there has been a faithful and discreet slave class that was appointed by jesus himself and that this slave class was "entrusted" with all of jesus belongings ( dispensing spiritual food to his followers and the rest of mankind).

  oddly, when it came to gods own word to mankind being compiled ( the bible), ......jehovah chose the catholic church to dispense, audit, compile his message!

  My Dad died this evening

  i thought i would let you know that my dad, passed away a little while ago, tonight, january 23. they called me at 6pm to tell me.

  he had been failing rapidly for the past month, and had completely lost his hearing and was totally blind.

  the dementia was extreme too, and he still knew me on thursday, but didn't wake up to know me in the following days.

  class of 2005 for me maybe?

  i remember so many names fondly, and not the regular names most people name off every day like george or robert, etc, but strange sounding ones: .

  skully, puternut, seven006, teh, richie rich, bigdog, dragonlady, jenniebeans, valis, prophecor, little toe, james thomas, sassy, defd, slipnslidemaster, alanf, brenda clouter (ok, that ones normal), hadenuff, buttlight, schne belly, stickypantz, p2k, incence and peppermints, whyamihere, devinsmom, harleyquinn, es, simon, eyegirl, joannadandy,i could go on all night, but the point is these people were in what i think i will call my school of real life graduating class.
